Gianluigi Pitrolo is a Sicilian artist defined by art critic Plinio Perilli as a " talented visionary ". Born in Noto on October 2, 1995, he completed his artistic training at the "Tommaso Campailla" art high school in Modica, where he developed a strong passion for painting and artistic research. His career began in 2016, when he began to explore the essence of the Mediterranean landscape, choosing the carob tree as his main subject, a tree that is a symbol of his land and of the Sicilian countryside, which becomes the focus of his works. Pitrolo's works are true interior landscapes, in which color and shape merge to express the strength and beauty of nature, with particular attention to light and the details that characterize the Mediterranean countryside. His talent does not go unnoticed, and in 2019, at the Budapest Biennial, he ranked third, an important recognition that marks a turning point in his career. Since March 2020, Pitrolo has also been present in the international contemporary art yearbook published by Mondadori, one of the most prestigious publications in the art scene, which brings together the best talents from all over the world, selected by well-known art critics. Gianluigi Pitrolo's work is a tribute to the land that saw him born, a continuous search for beauty and meaning through the landscape and the evocative power of color. With each of his canvases, the artist invites the viewer to take an emotional journey that combines nature, memory and vision, making each painting a true reflection on the strength and harmony of the world around us .
